The tool bar of a trace window offers the following functions:

Export selection |
Stores selected messages in a text file. The format corresponds to the displayed data in the trace window. |

Copy selected messages to the clipboard |
Copies selected messages as text to the clipboard. The format corresponds to the displayed data in the trace window. |

Scroll/update automatically |
By default, the display is scrolled automatically. |
|
Display all |
By default, all messages are displayed in chronological sequence. |
|
Show last received message only |
Only the last received message is displayed. |
|
Do not show previous messages |
Only messages received/sent after the button was clicked are displayed. |
|
Display all messages |
Deactivates the set filter. All messages of data base are displayed. |
|
Display unknown messages |
Messages not found in the data base, are displayed. These are identified by the name “UNKNOWN”. |
|
Display additional information |
Opens a context menu that allows filtering of certain record entries. |
|
Relative timestamps |
In “Display all” mode: Displays the amount of time since the previous message was received.
In “Show last received message only” mode: Displays the message’s cycle time. |

Create a marker point |
Creates a marking point within the recording. The marker is displayed in trace windows and signal plots. |
|
Go to next marker |
Moves the cursor to the next marking point in the recording. |
|
Go to previous marker |
Moves the cursor to the previous marking point in the recording. |
|
Display marker points |
Toggles display of marking points created with CanEasy. |
|
Display not recorded messages |
Displays a separate list of all messages which were not yet recorded/ received. |
|
Go to timestamp |

Search in content |
Searches for content in the trace window. |

Data filter |
In the input field the content of columns can be filtered. Several expressions (e.g. with &&) can be combined.
