When can I use which variant?

 

The following chapter explains when which variant of BSKD7 will be executed or can be executed (BSKD7 or CanEasy with BSKD7 plug-in).

 

Licenses

 

BSKD7 is based upon CanEasy generally. All available functions are depending on the used license. The follwing overview shows dependent on the license which variant is available (assumption is, that CanEasy with BSKD7 feature was installed):

 

•BSKD7 license

oOn start of a batch file from a diagnostics project, CanEasy will be started as BSKD7 stand-alone variant

oStart of BSKD7 via shortcut in start menu or desktop possible

oCanEasy can not be used because the needed license is not available
 

•CanEasy license without BSKD7

oThe BSK diagnostics 7 icon is not displayed in the tree view, because no BSKD7 license is available

oStart of CanEasy via shortcut in start menu or desktop possible
 

•CanEasy license without BSKD7 and separate BSKD7 stand-alone license

oThe BSK diagnostics 7 icon is grayed out in the tree view, if the used license does not allow the usage of BSKD7, but a BSKD7 license is available local or via network (function not available because of missing license). The network license which is available can be used additionally via the context menu entry Use external BSKD7 license. With this BSKD7 can be used in CanEasy. Already existing BSKD7 projects in the workspace will be displayed now.

•CanEasy license with BSKD7

oOn start of a batch file from a diagnostics project, CanEasy will be started as BSKD7 stand-alone variant, if no CanEasy is started yet (e.g. for a bus simulation)

oOn start of a batch file from a diagnostics project during a running CanEasy simulation, the diagnostics project will be started via the BSKD7 plug-in
