In several places, CanEasy uses timestamps to assign a time. In trace windows, for example, a message is shown with its timestamp, identifying the time it was sent or received. By differentiating the time of occurrence, events can be better kept apart.
By default, CanEasy uses the timestamps of the used hardware. If more than one hardware adapter is used, CanEasy uses an internal time basis, since the timestamps of the different adapters can diverge.
To make CanEasy always use its internal time basis, check the option “Use internal time stamp” in the “Settings” dialog. Now, CanEasy ignores the hardware timestamps for sending or receiving messages.
